hey, patterns on this unique textile were made with a fabric manipulation technique called shibori stitching (“shiboru” in Japanese means to write, squeeze and press). its colors come from a combination of rowan tree berries, madder root and rust water made from Icelandic horse shoes. all materials used to achieve this color by dying have been foraged slowly through walking in nature. as a result of this organic dye process, natural spots may occur and color may alter slightly with time.
